Leica Laser Micro Dissection Microscope

Laser microdissection uses a laser to isolate specific microscopic regions from tissue samples (50kw pulsed laser with  emission is at 355nm). The system is built around  a Leica DM6000B upright microscope stand.

Care has to be taken when using the system as the way in which specimens of interest are transferred and collected influences the specificity and quality of the end result.

•Fast and reliable contact-free and contamination-free specimen collection

•All specimen shapes and sizes are possible (multiple regions as well as shapes can be collected)

•Collect directly into reaction buffer

•Standard consumables can be used for collection (eg: normal PCR collection tubes).
